'Eliza's Flowers'

A fond childhood memory of mine was going to the matinee session of My Fair Lady with Mum and my late Nan.  I recall vividly the opening scenes where Eliza was selling her flowers along with other flower selling ladies.  Some carried baskets and some had carts which they pushed along.  It was this recollection which inspired me to create a flower cart from the recently released Beyond The Page product: Small Candy Cart

I combined Kaisercraft SEARS & SONS collection with OTP item Small Candy Cart to come up with this

The vintage toning of the Sears and Sons collection was well suited for the era I was trying to recreate.
I did slightly alter the construction of the cart.  By not attaching the two upper canopy supports, allowed the canopy to sit lower which I preferred the look of. It also provided a set of handle for the cart.

Mock windows were created by die cutting a decorative frame from patterned paper.  A little window was also created.
A cascading canopy of floral beauty was added with an assortment of Ribbon Roses, Paper Blooms and Mini Paper Blooms.  A trellis of vines created by die cutting leaf flourishes flow around the canopy of  the cart.
