Hello!
Today's project is brought to you with inspiration from the PaperHaus August Sketch, gorgeous 7 Dots Studio All I Ever collection and Manor House Creations floral beauty.
The sweet, giggling girl featured is my niece and I must thank her beautiful Mummy, Kristy Notting for allowing me to use these photos. Kristy specialises in natural light photography, and 'little people' are especially her favourite specialty. I think that she does an amazing job!
So first off, I thought I would share a little background behind my sketch interpretation:
I started with the PaperHaus August sketch created by Jules:
And rotated it 180 degrees, minimalised and moved the photo arrangement up towards the top.
Other design elements of the sketch are also moved upwards and incorporated in the top half of my page:
I then when back to the original sketch orientation, minimalised and moved everything down towards the bottom of the page to create a mirror image effect. This time, I kept the photo arrangement in the straight horizontal arrangement.
The papers I have worked with are from the 7 Dots Studio ALL I EVER collection. I just love the heavier weight of the papers and the gorgeous pastel tonings. I have focussed on the lilac, salmon pink and blue of the collection.
I complimented the papers with some pretty Manor House Creations flowers in coordinating tones. White and Lilac Sweeties, Purple and Blue Shades, White Springtime, Solitude and Purple Razzles feature. A splash of watermelon was added with a few Rue blooms. Kaiser Sparklets were added to the flower centres to add a touch of glitzy bling.
