Color Combos Galore Challenge 184

Hello Lovely People!!

Hope the sun is shining brightly in your part of the world today. It seems that we are having a late run at Summer. Even though our Summer has officially ended, the last couple of days have been very balmy with temps in the high 20's.

Today I have a layout share inspired by Color Combos Galore Inspiration Board 184.

Seriously who could resist this

Well .... I couldn't LOL!!

Well this totally gorgeous colour combination and photo is just 'Sheer Delight' and for me screamed a pretty 'girly girl' layout. I was inspired by the word 'delight' and for the Designer's Challenge I have included some American Crafts organza and tulle rolled roses ribbon and an organza Kaisercraft (Magical EM962) Flutterby - I did give this a light misting with some Pink Taffy and a touch of Creme De Cocoa glimmer mist to coordinate with the color combo.

Here is what I came up with

'Sweet Delight'

Little girls are Angels who haven't yet spread their wings

I've mixed things up a bit -Patterned Papers are Kaisercraft Bubblegum Hills (From the Paper Pad), Pink Paislee, Prima and Sassafrass Lass Decorative Edge and stitched element. Blooms - Prima, Kaisercraft and Mini Paper Roses, Dusty Attic Ornate Frame #1 and 'Delight' Chippie Title (available Scrapping Outback), Kaisercraft Sentiment Rubon - Little Girls, Kaisercraft Pearl Flourish and a Teresa Collins Butterfly Rubon - I adhered this to clear plastic so that I could position it better under the photo and also for the transparency - I wanted to be able to see through it.

Thanks ever so much for dropping by

Scrapping Outback & The Color Room Palette 50

Firstly Congratulations to THE COLOR ROOM on reaching 50 palettes and what a whole lot of amazing, colourful inspiration there has been over this time.

As a 'former Revolving Door Artist (RDA)' for weeks #11 - #14, I was so very excited and also honoured to receive an invitation to participate with this weeks special Palette.

We are in 'His Room' and it is a 'White Washed' Palette.

This is my take on it

'Believe'

You are beautiful inside and out

Photobucket

Now I have to confess to being a bit intimidated by this palette. These, by no means are colours that I generally work with and I had to do some serious... O.K major, stash digging LOL!

Photobucket

Fortunately for me as it turned out, the gorgeous Rach (Scrapping Outback) was my 'savior' as she had just sent along a couple of the Bo Bunny Midnight Frost patterned papers to work with for a Scrapping Outback product showcase. I combined these with a splash of Kaisercraft Airy Fairy 'Sparkle' and some cardstock.

Photobucket

Blooms are some older Prima Obsession combined with some of the new Prima Roses and Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - I have used coconut white (available Scrapping Outback) and sage. The bling is a Zva Creative Leaf flourish that I have cut up and the large hanging facet jewel is a Teresa Collins Blingage Maddie's Jewels - gosh I had no idea how big this was when I bought the packet LOL. These are also available in the Scrapping Outback store.

Photobucket

No surprises that I have also included some chipboard elements, both available from Scrapping Outback - chippie 'Believe' title and Dusty Attic Ornate Frame #1. I also added some of the new Kaisercraft sentiment rubons to the title.

Photobucket

So if you have made it this far - Thank You and Well Done!.

This week The Color Room are doing things a little differently. The palette has been revealed as usual, but instead of putting up the Design Team layouts on the main page, you will need to go on a BLOG HOP!

Get Picky February Inspiration #5

Seriously who wouldn't be inspired to create something from this gorgeous 'Get Picky' inspiration prompt

Photobucket

And this is my take on Get Picky's Inspiration #5

'You light up my life'

Photobucket

I have taken inspiration from the femininity, the gorgeous pink and blue toning, light background, blooms and crystal chandelier.

Photobucket

Patterned Papers are Prima with just a very small touch of Webster's. Blooms are Prima and Kaisercraft. The chipboard chandelier (available from Scrapping Outback) is by Dusty Attic and represents the chandelier element of the photo.

The sentiment quote is from Kaisercraft's new 'Childhood' rub-ons.

Photobucket

The crystals hanging from the chandelier candelabra in the picture inspired my hanging crystal from a little Kaisercraft wooden flourish frame.

Photobucket

Thanks Get Picky for the inspiration - I loved playing along.

Color Combo's Galore Challenge # 182

Howdy!

I have a layout share today that has been inspired by the Color Combos Galore Challenge #182.

This is the inspiration board

Photobucket

I have to say that I really enjoyed playing with the tone on tone aspect of the palette. When I saw this week's inspiration photo, I first thought 'Hubba Hubba -' these guys are heavenly on the eyes'. But rather than use fashion I have chosen the 'heavenly' aspect as my inspiration, I have scrapped a picture of my littlest angel. We think that she is of course 'heaven sent' and she will always be our gorgeous cherub.

This is my interpretation

'Cherub'

Photobucket

And a closer look

Photobucket

I have used a variety of patterned papers including Crate Paper, Creative Imaginations Die Cut, Webster's Pages, Prima and Kaisercraft (Up Up and Away). I have added some Kaisercraft blooms and paper roses (available from Deb's Creations), Prima flourish (thanks Kathie) and Zva Creative Leaf (available Deb's Creations), Kaisercraft Girl rubon sentiment and MME rubons and of course some much loved chippie - this time a Dusty Attic lampost and a word title both of which are available from Scrapping Outback. Think I have covered everthing LOL!!

Photobucket

Once again, lots of layering with different elements. The larger rose blooms are Kaisercraft's Paper Blooms - these ones are 'honey'. They are gorgeous as are the mini paper roses - these are available in Deb's Creations store.

Photobucket

I left the Dusty Attic Lampost in it's 'natural' state and inked the cherub title with Kaisercraft Sandstone Ink and then gave it a coating of frosted lace stickles. I also added some frosted lace stickles to the butterfly.

If you get a chance check out the Color Galore Combos site. The gallery is brimming with wonderful inspiration.

Thanks so much for dropping by and for taking the time to comment.

Bye for now

Scrapping Outback Wicked Wonderland Reveal

'Wicked' Greetings!!

Well I attended an absolutely wicked tea party over the last weekend at Scrapping Outback. Thanks so much to the lovely ladies who came and joined in the fun and frivolity. It sure was an awesome way to spend the weekend.

Here are a couple of layout shares from the weekend

First up is 'Wonderland'. This is the layout that I completed for my online class and I had so much fun designing this one. I believe that there are still a couple of kits still available in store and with the purchase you will receive access to the class instructions for making your very own Wonderland creation.

Photobucket

The awesome Wonderland and rabbit chippie are designed by Rachelle Minett and are both included with the kit. I had lots of fun colouring Mr Rabbit - I know that he is a 'white rabbit' and rabbits don't wear pants but we had to give him pants at my Miss E's insistance (LOL!)

The following layout I completed for Alicia Barry's Queen Of Hearts 'Off with Their Heads' challenge. This is my take on it.

Photobucket

I have used Pink Paislee patterned papers from the Wicked Wonderland Goodie Kit for this one

Photobucket

Chippie is also included in the kit - how cool is that Dusty Attic spider LOL!!
