2Crafty Chipboard and Kraft+: Laugh

Hi Everyone,

Popping in with my take on this month's Kraft+ Challenge.  2Crafty Chipboard are also  sponsors for this month so I have incorporated 2CC loveliness along with 'blast from the past' products.

'Blast From The Past Elements' include: ribbon, button, punched elements and an older Prima patterned paper.
A mixed media background was created on the Kraft cardstock - Heidi Swapp Primrose and Mustard Color Shine with Colour Burst powders over the top.

2 Crafty Chipboard Flourish 3 was positioned underneath the photo with trimmed Climbing Rose Bush pieces and tucked in around the main embellishment cluster.
A 6" Circle Revolution Frame frames the photo with a Word Circle positioned over the top.

Apart from the word circle, all chipboard elements were kept in there natural state
before altering with Ultramarine Blue Colour Burst powder and water.

Kraft+: Life is a beautiful ride

Hi Everyone,

Here is my take on the current Kraft+ Challenge.  This is where the 'Image Inspiration' and 'Your Creativity' took me.

Wowee, what a fabulous chaotic image of fun and choices!

This was a little overwhelming to start with. But the first thing that jumped out at me was the car element. The word 'ride' came to mind - I found a glitz design quote in my stash and had a photo of Miss E riding one of those flying fox swings at a park.  I wanted it to look like she was 'riding' on the star.

I also took inspiration from the colour ( yes it wasn't a colour challenge) but gosh those colours screamed at me (LOL) though I toned them down slightly to suit more of a 'retro' vibe that I was also feeling from some of the design elements in the picture.

I included some of the design elements including circles and lady

...and background detail.
I used Colour Blast Colour Paste in Dusty Charcoal and Sunshine for the masked detail and Sunshine Shimmer Spray over white gesso.
I also did the journalling strips on an angle similar to the words coming out of the megaphone in the image.

Kraft Plus: In The Jungle Designer Inspiration

Hello!!

I am just totally 'wild' about the latest Kraft Plus Challenge! Let's get creative and head

In The Jungle

The Criteria:

Kraft Background
Circles
and
Animal Print

Interpret the challenge as you wish

This is where my jungle explorations to took me:

I combined animal print and bright tropical jungle inspired papers from Kaisercraft's 'Say Aloha' Collection with Kraft Cardstock:

For the circle criteria:

I punched a larger decorative circle from the reverse side of the 'Flamingo' paper and layered it with another fussy cut circle element from the 'Malibu' paper. The negative circle frame element left over after removing the circle was also incorporated.  I also die cut some smaller Die Cut decorative edged circles from 'Rainforest'. Some random border punching was added around the outer edge of the Kraft Cardstock and a circular sentiment sticker element.

Fussy cut floral and foliage elements from 'Rainforest' paper were layered with Collectibles and Stickers.

Some of these beauties were also layered amongst the tropical foliage:

2Crafty Chipboard M00493 Leafy Shrub pieces were inked black to add contrast to the bright toning of the 'Say Aloha' papers.

The DT and the Guest DT have totally ROCKED this challenge. We can't wait to see what YOU create with the 'IN THE JUNGLE' Challenge

Happy 'TOTALLY WILD' Krafting!

Kraft Plus: Designer Inspiration

Hello Lovelies!

A little pinch and a punch for the first day of the month! Teehee
So, the first of the month also means the reveal of another brand spanking new fabulous Kraft Plus Challenge. Pssst... we are heading into the kitchen

And this is where the Retro Recipe + Ingredients took me:

A little washi tape - You will spy some peeking out from behind the photo and to the left of the larger 'Life Is Moments' sentiment
Polka dots (on the heart embellishment and background stamp)
Cotton - I used some thread coming from the balloon
3 Tags - 2 were trimmed and layered behind the top right photo corner and the trimmed edge of another one peeking is out along the bottom edge of the photo
Silver - 'Life Is Moments' Sentiment and flower
Stamping - background and bottom right hand corner

The Kraft Cardstock was altered with Heidi Swapp Mustard Color Shine and a Prima Cog Mask.

Some random stamped detail was then added with a Kaiser texture background stamp.
Twiddleybitz and A2Z Chipboard elements were spritzed with Color Shine - Mustard and Sweet Cherry.

Paper strips and die cut elements from Graphic 45 'An Eerie Tale' were layered with fussy cut elements - white daisies from Graphic 45 Secret Garden and butterflies from G45 Curiosity Shoppe.

A touch of 'Alice in Wonderland' with Kaiser's 'Through The Looking Glass' and pretty Prima blooms. A few of these were also altered with color shine to coordinate.

The Kraft Plus Design Team and this month's Guest Designer's have cooked up a smorgasboard of delectable treats for you. Make sure that you check out all the inspiration as well as challenge and Sponsor details HERE

Kraft Plus: Design Inspiration

Hello Lovelies,

Welcome to the the next Kraft Plus fabulous challenge - All That Glitters.

There is so much to get the creative mojo going - Sketch + Sequins/Glitter/Gold/Sparkles and Bling.

Here is my interpretation:

The sketch was rotated and the photos slightly staggered. The background colour was applied in a  vertical 'line formation' to represent the strips of paper of the sketch with a few strips of papers and washi, then added over the top.

I started by adding golden details to Kraft Cardstock with a Prima Stencil (#572181) and Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine.

White Gesso was then swipped over some of the area background area.  Some colour magic was added with a few Lindy Stamp Gang sprays and Dlusions - Lucky Shamrock Green, Sweet Violet Purple Teal, Hydrangea Blue and Funky Fuchsia.

Prima GLITTER Twisters were used to frame the photo and fine GOLD thread through the floral cluster.

SEQUINS, Prima Crystals, Glitz Designs and Kaiser Bling add a little SPARKLE.

A medley of Prima Flowers and Manor House Razzles embellish a Twiddlebitz Journal Plaque (cut in half) which has been accented with GOLD metallic paint.

Kraft Plus: Design Inspiration

Hello and welcome to the very first challenge for Kraft Plus! Whoo Hooo, we are all so very excited at Kraft Plus and hope that you are too.

The design team and guest designers have done an AMAZING job of  interpretating the Mango Breeze Challenge.  Check out all the awesomeness and details for entering the challenge HERE

This month it is a colour inspiration palette:

Welcome to Mango Breeze:

And here is my take on it:

I incorporated colours of the palette with MME 'Find Your Wings and Fly' patterned papers, coordinating chipboard and Prima flowers - from the Divine and Zephyr collections.

Firstly, I trimmed the base Kraft cardstock by approx 1" and then punched each corner with a decorative corner punch. I then laid this over the top of the patterned paper - Sky's The Limit Flowers For You for a touch of colour peeking around the outer edge. I also left the Twiddleybitz chipboard circles (these were individually cut from the circle page overlay) in their natural state to tone with the Kraft Cardstock

A scattering of sequins add a touch of sparkly pretty.

A closer look at the details:

This month we have 2 fabulous sponsors including 2Crafty Chipboard and Sassy Scrapper. We look forward to you taking inspiration and joining in the creative fun. To be kept up to date with what is happening at Kraft Plus Challenge,  join our Facebook Community.
