Ruby Rock-It! - Glitzy Easter Egg

Hello Everyone,

Trudi with you today sharing a 'Glitzy' standing egg creation.  

I had lots of fun combining a few Bella! Glitzy Gold, Foiled Hearts & Stripes with a sprinkling of  Ruby Rock-It! Dancette Glittered and Happy Days papers.  This is also a project that you could easily get the kids involved with.

I created an egg shape template which I used to create the concertina effect. This egg is on the larger size -I was able to get 4 eggs to each 12 x 12 sheet of paper.

Each of the cut out eggs where folded in half and attached at the folds with adhesive.  Too create a fuller egg - add more folded pieces.

The egg has been attached to a recycled ribbon spool.

 

 The bow was created from 1" strips of paper which where trimmed into smaller lengths and folded and attached to create loops.  To create the curly tendrils trim thin lengths of paper and wrap around thin paintbrush handle or skewer.

Ruby Rock-It!- Water Colour Fun

Hello Everyone!

 Today I am sharing a project created with the new Bella! Glitzy Gold Paperz, a touch of Bella! Dream and Botanical.

Distress Inks are a fun way of adding a some background colour magic - Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers & Wilted Violet were added to the Glitzy Gold Fish Scales background paper:

Messy Mat (or plastic), Water Spritzer, Die Cut Butterfly, Pip Berry Vine & Flowers

To create the water colour background:

Swipe ink onto a messy mat (I used the plastic bag that the Glitzy Paper came in) and spritz with water:

Place paper glitter side down on top of the inks and swirl the paper in a clockwise motion.  Lift paper off, turn over and you will have a effect like this: 

Wipe off ink residue from messy mat with paper towel and repeat the process: 

 Allow to dry and then add embellishments.

Create a cluster with a large die cut butterfly, fussy cut elements from Botanical Montage Paper and flowers: 

Slip the photo under the cluster arrangement and add more flowers and fussy cut elements  along the photo edge. 

Twist the pip berry vine into a circular frame and pop under top left hand photo corner. 

 Tuck under photo edges bling flourishes (still attached to clear acetate but trimmed).

 Add fussy cut trimmed sentiments from Dream Cut Outs paper.

Ruby Rock-It! - Believe in Magic

Have you seen the new Bella! Glitzy Glitter Papers? 

 They are gorgeous and so much fun to add to your paper crafting project!

    For my project, I added a length trimmed from the Woodgrain Glitzy Glitter Paper.  I think that it coordinates beautifully with nature theme of my page.

Flower Vine, Flowers, Resin Frame

Trim a piece from Woodgrain paper -  Along one edge follow the pattern of the Woodgrain.

Trim a piece from the Distress patterned paper.  Cut into two pieces - tear the edge along the longer edge of one the pieces. Also put aside the smaller torn piece that was just removed.

Position Distress Pieces with Woodgrain paper over the top.  Place photo on slight angle

**Refer to layout for placement**

Attach in place when happy with placement. 

 Fussy cut floral elements, leaves, butterflies and toadstools from Botanical Montage Paper and Bird from Botanical Perch.

Fussy cut paper sentiments from Magic & Wonder Cut Outs.

 Attach resin frame on a slight angle covering the bottom right hand edge of the photo.

Attach flower vine across the top right hand edge of the photo.

Layer fussy cut floral, butterflies, toadstools, bird, paper scroll sentiment elements and flowers along the right photo edge.

Add gum leaves towards the bottom of the cascading floral cluster. 

Place 6mm Iridescent Pink Bling Rhinestones to the butterfly centres.
