Scrapping Outback White with a Twist

Hope your week so far has been a great one.

Today I have my take on Scrapping Outback's White with a Twist challenge to share with you. This month Julie Hill has come up with the yummy twisted combination of white with red, brown and cream.

Here is my take on her colour combination twist - had lots of fun with this one

And a bit of a closer examination

Have incorporated some chippie in the design of this one - 'Love' Title, Large Butterfly and part of a floral frame. Chippie available from Scrapping Outback.

'Forever' Rubon's and pearl flourishes are by Kaisercraft.

Assortment of Prima blooms and other paper roses. Patterned Papers are Prima, Basic Grey, Making Memories and Daisy D's.

Scrapping Outback Reveal: Where the wild things are

Kicking off February with a bit of twisting.

Scrapping Outback's White with a Twist challenge has been revealed and this month we are going a bit fruity with the colours Rapsberry, Mango and Kiwi Lime.

Here is where my twisting took me....

Where the wild things are



Now there is a little story that goes with how the title of this layout came about. I realise that there is a book that is titled 'Where the wild things are'... but at the time my girls were unaware of such of book. We were up the mountain collecting fire wood and this particular day, my girls decided to go 'exploring'.... on the way I heard Miss E say to Miss N 'let's go find where the wild things are' and Miss N replies... 'only if they are nice'.

And a closer look - can you find where the cute, friendly 'wild things'are hiding?



The Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Patterned Papers were perfect twisting match. Love this Chipboard Flourish Tree available in the Scrapping Outback Store. I gave it a bit of a makeover, first of with Rachelle Minett's Faux Metal Technique and then dressed it up with some foliage which I punched out from the Cosmo patterened paper with a Martha Stewart leaf punch.

Scrapping Outback Reveal: November White With a Twist Challenge 'Daddy's Girl'

This is my take on Scrapping Outback's November White with a Twist challenge. This month we are twisting white with the cocktail inspiration creamy chocolate and strawberry pink - Mmmmm yummy!

Here is my take on it

Daddy's Girl - I will always look up to you Daddy, no matter how tall I grow

Once again I have played with the Basic Grey Bittersweet patterned papers and combined them with lots of butterflies and flowers. 'Daddy's Girl' is a Scrap FX chippie title which is available in the Scrapping Outback Store along with the BG Bittersweet papers.

Scrapping Outback White With A Twist Reveal

Things have been 'shaken' up ttle this month and you will note the term 'shaken' and not 'stirred'.

From now on, each month we are going to add a bit of a 'twist' to white.

The 'twist' will be presented in the format of a cocktail or sometimes a 'mock' tail. The 'twist' may be one colour or it may be 2 or sometimes 3 or 4 depending on how exotic the cocktail is.

The twist of colour ,or colours as it may sometimes be, can be as much as you like as long as it is mixed with white. Once again all hues of the 'twist' are acceptable.

Black and brown journallng pen and ink are still acceptable along with your clear glitter glues etc. Everything else is white with the twist.

So for this month we are enjoying

White with a 'TWIST OF LEMON'

This is my interpretation of this month's 'twist'
