Hello!!
Well, I have to say, that it is truly a beautiful day here in my part of Victoria. The sun is shining brightly and managed to leave the woolly coat hanging up this morning for the trip in to school. Can certainly feel 'spring in the air' as the saying goes.
Today, I have some PRIMA loveliness which I can now share - a couple of my projects which I created for the recent CHA Summer Show.
Starting with the absolutely delightful PIXIE GLEN Collection
'In One Breath'
I guess you could say that I was absolutely smitten with this collection. I did fall in love with the soft delicate colours and the pretty nostalgic elements.
One thing I really love about Prima collections are the beautiful coordinating flowers and
embellishments.
I have layered and arranged pretty Jardinere & Essentials flowers with Coventry & Avon Roses with hand cut patterned paper elements.
The gate element has been created from the new Prima Gate Mask.
Materials: #843205 Pixie Glen “Rose Arbour”,#843236 Pixie Glen “Dartmoor”,#843199 Pixie Glen “Chip-A-Twitter”,#843168 Pixie Glen “Window View”,#843212 Pixie Glen “Devon”,#843182 Pixie Glen ‘Pyske Cuts’,#551216 Pixie Glen Chipboard Pieces, #552534 Pixie Glen Essentials 11, #552602 Pixie Glen Jardinere, #553319 Pixie Glen Coventry Rose, #552466 Pixie Glen Avon Rose, #551735 Firefly Sandune, #552688 Sherwood Rose Truffle, #550042 Mask, #550004 Mask, #551582 Say it in crystals
Altered Wire Dress Form
You could say that I have a thing for dressing things up - especially dress forms. Not sure really where this fascination comes from. Maybe I am revisiting the inner child inside and the fact that I didn't have barbie dolls to play dress ups with as a young girl LOL!
Anyway, I really enjoy the creative process of doing these and couldn't resist creating my own little 'Pixie'.
A touch of Pixie Glen magic has been combined with the splendor of Prima blooms and leaves.
The bodice has been created from Pixie Glen patterned paper and embellished with Say It In Crystals, a little ornamental edging and vintage button.
The corsage has been created with a gorgeous Carlotta 'smoke' bloom and Holiday Carmine Vine.
My love affair with tulle continues - the skirt has been made from this and finished off with
with gorgeous 'Splendor White' leaves.
The back shows off Allure Aurora.
Materials Used:#843236 Pixie Glen “Dartmoor”, #843205 Pixie Glen “Rose Arbor”, #553104 Allure Aurora, #552749 Carlotta Smoke, #553432 Carmine, #553604 Splendor White, #551360 Say It In Crystals, #551452 Say It In Crystals, Ornamental Edging, Button
I have lots more to share which I will do over the next few days.
I also have a little 'introduction' feature on the PRIMA BLOG if you would like to pop by and say 'Hi'
Thank so much for dropping by
Hugs
