Color Combos Galore Challenge #242 is: "A Touch of Gold"

A little shabby chic combined with the gorgeous combo of Ivory, Blush, Melon, Gold and Onyx took me here:

I started with a metal bird cage picked up from one of those cheap decor stores and gave it a little makeover.  A cascading canopy of floral beauty was added with a medley of gorgeous Manor House Creations blooms.

MHC Springtime, Glitter Roses, Celeste, Fascinating, Starlight, Solitude and a pretty pink bloom from the Princess Party Pack feature.

Some of the blooms were lightly misted with pink glimmer mist.

A little Kaisecraft nest with eggs sits nestled amongst the soft blush satin ribbon, Ivory Mesh and  flowers. The top of Twiddleybitz Flourish Stand from the Bird Cage with Flourish Stand Kit (BCSM02)  was added to the top of the cage and the table element of the stand sits inside the cage with a few more flowers added for decoration.

This is the first CCG Inspiration Board for May - isn't it full of beauty!

My main inspiration was taken from Photo #1 with the focus on style - Shabby Chic. Also from the Inspiration Photo #1 I incorporated the birdcage and birds - the idea coming from the photo subject and ribbon - idea from the ribbon in the background. From Inspiration Photo #2 the composition of the flowers on the cake inspired the cascading floral canopy over the top of the metal cage.
