Sassy Scrappers: Candy Cane Sweet

Hello, Hello!

Another project to share with you all showcasing Graphic 45 Twas The Night Before Christmas collection for Sassy Scrappers.

The vintage tonings of this collection are so lovely. This time I have concentrated on a more neutral toning with a splash of merry red and festive green in the accents.

This one is a little something dedicated to my own littlest sweet:

A few fussy cut elements were layered with coordinating chipboard and pretty flowers. The larger ID chipboard clock and compass was inked with Kaiser red gum ink and then lightly dabbed over with metallic gold paint.

I really enjoy the fussy cutting process and find it an economical way of adding embellishment to a project. Fussy cut holly and clocks add layered detail behind the photo. A few of the elements have been affixed with foam tape to add dimension.

A little festive sparkle was added with a light dusting of crushed bronze glitter. Lightly dab a little clear drying glue to the areas you wish to add detail and sprinkle crushed glitter over the top. Some of the areas were a little heavy in which I just 'scratched' off the excess with the tips of an old pair of scissors.
