Time Traveler Inspired Hat

Hi Lovelies,

So I had a creative idea that started to form when Miss E pulled them out of her magic showbag  from the Whittlesea show last year - they were a plastic pair of black round glasses. Kinda quirky (and yes I agree a touch on the uglier side as they are not very flattering on the face) but they lended themselves beautifully for the project that I had them in mind. Just had to convince Miss E that I needed them more than she did.

Combine with the toning and design elements of Prima's Time Traveler collection, a hat was fashioned from the patterned papers. Add a few fussy cut elements, a vine, flowers and trinkets and I came up with a Time Traveler Inspired Hat with a steampunk influence.

Time Traveler No 70 was used to create the 'brim' of the hat and Dark Lines for the top part of the hat. For a touch of 'swagger', the brim was slightly rolled up on one side and affixed in place.

Embellish liberally with a cascading medley of flowers , fussy cut elements, chipboard cogs, shabby chic treasures, junkyard finding  and other trinkets and haberdashery.

Thanks so much for dropping by,
